Oberon Media Inks New Distribution Partnerships
Completes Integration of Acquired Business Units to Fuel Multi-platform Growth
Casual Connect, SEATTLE: July 23, 2008 - Oberon Media, the world’s leading multi-platform casual-games company, today announced that it has inked several new partnerships with leading companies around the world and has completed the comprehensive integration of its acquired business units.
Oberon is launching new, ad-supported game channels with SPILL Group’s Gamenext, a leading online game destination featuring dozens of localized portals; Sky UK, the operator of the UK's largest digital pay television platform and a leading broadcaster of sports, movies, entertainment and news and SweetIM, a leading provider of instant messenger technologies and content. Further, in an expansion of an existing relationship, Oberon and Telefónica, one of the leading integrated telecommunications operators worldwide, will soon launch a new ad-supported game channel.
Oberon’s diverse revenue streams allow partners to monetize each customer, either directly through game sales or indirectly through advertising sponsorships. For many leading partners, this rapidly growing part of Oberon’s business is responsible for more than 50 per cent of revenue. As expansion continues across every platform, Oberon continues to deploy iTV channels, the latest of which is the result of a partnership with Bell Express Vu, Canada’s leading digital television provider, to deploy Oberon’s ‘JIVE™,’ an interactive television community management platform.
